Welcome to Blush Pink Weddings! My name is Jen Johnson and I would like to start by congratulating you on your upcoming wedding day. I understand how exciting all the planning can be, and I also know very well how stressful it can become. In fact, my passion for planning weddings was inspired by my own experience as a bride-to-be. I knew exactly what I wanted and with the help of my family and friends I had everything I needed in order. However, as the day approached so did the stress. I worried that I wouldn't be able to enjoy my own wedding day if I was too busy managing it. At first I was skeptical about hiring a month-of coordinator, but making that decision allowed me to relax and focus on myself and my husband-to-be. It would also be the decision that changed my life.
Throughout my 20 years of active duty military service, I never thought I'd end up in the wedding industry. However, shortly after becoming Mrs. Johnson in 2012, I began working as a day-of assistant and eventually took on the role of Event Manager. I learned a lot during this time, about the business and about myself. I truly believe my natural talent for organizing and planning various types of events, including my own personal life events, has led me to discover the passion I have for it now. By the time I retired from the Air Force in 2015, I had become a devoted wife and mother, and I was on my way to following my new found dream.
